2 Days in Mumbai - Weekend Itinerary

Day 1 in Mumbai

Start off your day in Mumbai by having "Vada Pav" and a steaming cup of Chai that is tea for breakfast. This spicy street food will not only tantalize your taste buds but will also leave you satisfied. Then head towards 'Gateway of India' - an arch monument that will leave you spellbound. This seafront arch is built in basalt and boasts to be the top tourist attraction in Mumbai.
Right opposite to the structure is 'The Taj Mahal Palace Hotel', standing with pride and showcasing grandeur in all its glory. This 5-star hotel is another landmark in Mumbai. While you are at the Gateway of India, board a ferry and head towards the 'Elephanta Caves'. After an hour of the ferry ride, you reach this UNESCO World Heritage Site which has many caves with carvings and sculptures. One of the prominent feature that would capture your heart is the 20 feet tall Trimurti Sculpture.
After a quick lunch, head towards Chowpatti for some sun, sand, and mouth-watering snacks along with Nariyal Paani i.e. coconut water. Known to be the most favourite beach in Mumbai, it is buzzing with loads of tourists and hawkers. Lie in the sand, play a game of volleyball, or walk along the seashore with your loved ones to enjoy your time here. As you head towards Chowpatty beach from Gateway of India, you will pass by Marine Drive - a beautiful road lined with palm trees and sky-high buildings on one side and the Arabian sea on the other. It is lovingly and rightly called the Necklace Road since the street lights look like a string of pearls in the pitch black night. You may end your day by having a hearty meal at one of the renowned restaurant called Pizza by The Bay located along the Marine Drive.
Day 2 in Mumbai

Let your last day in Mumbai start off with a visit to the holy Temple of Shree Siddhivinayak. A paved walkway leads to this mosque which is another landmark in the city of Mumbai.
