Day 1 and 2
Start of your 5 days 4 nights in New Orleans by opting for a swamp tour. The swamps of New Orleans attract many tourists, especially the wildlife lovers. The tours usually last for 1 hour and 45 minutes, during which you will be able to spot alligators, bald eagles, herons, mink, turtles, egrets, and a large variety of flora and fauna. You can choose between any of the numerous companies that offer these swamp tours. Have a quick lunch and then spend the rest of your first day in New Orleans wandering in the French Quarter neighborhood. This National Historic Landmark is also known as Vieux Carré. It is packed with many attractions including The Historic New Orleans Collection, Jackson Square, Lalaurie Mansion, St Louis Cathedral, and many more. To end the day on a high note head towards the Bourbon Street and step into any of the live clubs here.
On your second day, visit the quaint Garden District which will effectively transport you back to the olden days. Its beautiful streets are lined with cottages, historic mansions, and, as the name of the neighborhood suggests - many gardens. You can spend half of your day meandering through this pretty little district of New Orleans. It also has many cafes and restaurants where you can have a fulfilling lunch. While you are in Garden District, you can visit the Lafayette Cemetery No. 1. Later, you can spend your time walking through the galleries of the The National World War II Museum.

Here you will have art galleries, live music clubs, bars, and many restaurants.
