6 Days in Prague Vacation Guide

The cultural and historical crown of Czech Republic, Prague, is one of the most beautiful cities in Europe. What to see in Prague in 6 days?

Day 1 and 2

Begin your 6 days in Prague by visiting the historic Old Town. Discover the famous sites here and satiate your taste buds with the authentic Czech food. Cross the Charles Bridge, one of the most beautiful bridges in Europe. You would like to click some incredible pictures of and from the bridge. Later, you can take a walking tour of the historical part of Prague. This includes a tour of the buildings like St. Vitus Cathedral, The Royal Palace, St. George Basilica, and Powder Tower. Finally, you can end this tour at the magnificent Prague Castle. You can get back to the Old Town for your dinner and enjoy Prague’s nightlife at one of the exclusive bars.

On day 2, you would like to take a small trip to the oldest spa town of Czech Republic called Karlovy Vary which is only 2 hours from Prague. Enjoy bathing in one of the hot springs located here. After discovering the historical streets and buildings of the town, you can catch a show at the Town Theatre.

Day 3 and 4

It’s time to explore more about the old history of Prague. So, you can start off the day again at the Old Town Square taking a stroll around the Gothic and Baroque buildings. Head to the Jewish Quarter to take a tour of the Synagogue, Cemetery, and the Jewish Museum. Close to the Jewish Quarter is the world-famous Astronomical Clock of Prague right on the wall of Old Town Hall. Learn about the city’s culture at the National Museum and at evening, attend one of the concerts to lighten your mood.

On the 4th day of your trip in Prague, you should explore the picturesque surroundings of the river Vltava. You can take a ferry ride on the river or can enjoy your breakfast at one of the restaurants located by the river (it could be the famous Dancing House). There are some excellent art galleries by the river; the Lennon Wall is a must-see too. The Franz Kafka Museum can be another stop. Take a tour of Clementinum, the historic complex known fo0r its abundant book collection. It would be a great idea to soak in the celebrations at one of the pubs by at the riverside.

Day 5 and 6

Look into the artistic part of Prague by taking a trip to the Kampa Island. This picturesque small land is a visual treat to the visitors. Head to the hillside park of Petrin and capture the panoramic views of the city from the Petrin Lookout Tower. The art gallery of Schwarzenberg Palace will also be a great visit. Walk through the streets of Hradčany admiring the Renaissance and Gothic structures. You would also like to stop by the 10th century fort of Vyšehrad that was built by the Vltava river.
