Day 1 in Sarajevo

Start your Sarajevo tour by brushing upon the intriguing military history of the city. The Siege of Sarajevo was a 1,425-day siege of the Bosnian capital which has left a mark on the country even today. With a guide along, you can visit the sites of violent massacres like Sniper Alley, Markale Massacre sites, Bosnian Presidency building and Marshall Tito Barracks, and then proceed to the Tunnel of Hope where you can learn more about the longest siege in history. Next you can visit the Mountain of Trebević and enjoy the panoramic city views of the modern city.

In the evening, embark on a walking tour of the city. Day 2 in Sarajevo

On the day 2, we suggest you head out of the city to explore Herzegovina. Start by first visiting the old part of Konjic town. Prehistorically inhabited, this town is famous for its 6-arch Old Bridge over the Neretva river. Before you proceed with your day, stop at Tito’s Bunker and Boracko Lake Glacier. Next stop, visit the Jablanicko Lake and witness the site of Neretva Battle. After a brief stop here, head to Počitelj. Famed for its Ottoman-Mediterranean style fortress, this little town is a must visit. As the day progresses, visit Blagaj which is home to the Buna river spring. Often called Europe’s most beautiful, most powerful, clean and drinkable river spring, make a quick stop at this site before proceeding to Mostar. Here walk through the town’s old town and discover its bazaars and bridges before making your way back to Sarajevo.
