What to do in Seattle in 2 days?

Day 1 of Seattle Itinerary

Start off your first day in Seattle by having a hefty breakfast at Pike Place Market. Here you will find the original Starbucks ready to serve you some hot coffee accompanied by a pastry. Then roam around the market exploring it's every nook and corner. Post-Alley and Gum Wall are a few of the interesting features of this market.

Then have lunch at one of the interesting eateries in the market. A few of them serve some mouth-watering cuisines. You may even head towards the Seattle Waterfront if time permits.

Come afternoon and you must head towards Downtown Seattle. Let your first stop in this neighborhood be Seattle Art Museum. Then go about exploring the downtown, stopping at some of the prime stores here that include Macy’s and Fran’s Chocolates. You may even sit in a cafe to enjoy a quick bite.

As the sun starts setting to the west, make your way to the Space Needle. This is the place to enjoy panoramic views of the city while watching the Sun go down the horizons. Then explore the Seattle Center which has tons of attractions to keep you engaged for a long period of time.

End your first day by having a delicious dinner at one of the restaurants that are a line near the Seattle Center.

Day 2 of Seattle Itinerary

Spend the first half of your second day in Seattle at Discovery Park. Have breakfast at any of the cafes outside and then explore this 534-acre park which features trails, meadows, forest, and a beach. With so many things at your disposal, you can easily spend about 2-3 hours in Discovery Park. Do not forget to visit the lighthouse which offers breathtaking views of the city.

Have a quick lunch in the afternoon and then head towards the Ballard Locks. These locks that keep the salt water separate from the fresh water are quite unique. You will also get a chance to watch boats and ships being lowered and raised upon loading into locks. There is a lot to explore the locks such as the botanical gardens.

Reserve your evenings to explore the neighborhood called Fremont of Seattle. Here, there are many art galleries and stores that are ideal to be visited. You may even buy souvenirs from a few local shops.

End your day by having a dinner at one of the restaurants in Fremont.
