Though the futuristic South Korean city, Seoul is surrounded by mountains, the city itself has always towered above its peers throughout its two-thousand-year-old history. Day 1 in Seoul

What better way to kick off your Seoul travel than a visit to a grand old gate built hundreds of years ago? Visit Gwanghwamun for an introduction to classical Korean architecture and then use public transport to reach N Seoul Tower which stands as a testament to South Korea's modern development. From there visit the War Memorial of Korea for a lesson in history about the Korean War; one of the country's darkest phase. Brighten up a little with a walk along the beautiful Cheonggyecheon and finally end the day by exploring Insadong.

Day 2 in Seoul

Start day 2 by spotting cherry blossoms in the Yeouido Park then commute to the gigantic Seoul World Cup Stadium from where you can take a ride to Itaewon. A trip to Seoul is considered incomplete without a visit to this actual heart and soul of the city. Finally, pay your respects at the Bongeunsa Temple to end day 2.

Day 3 in Seoul

The Lotte World is an absolute must see in Seoul in 4 days as it is the world's 2nd largest indoor park. People usually take hours having fun at the park and exploring all rides, but at the end, if you have some time left then head to the Hangang Park for a relaxing and peaceful time. Participate in some of the games being played at the park or just sit back and gaze at the beautiful birds flying around. After all the excitement at Lotte World, some relaxation time is much deserved and required.

Day 4 in Seoul

The best way to see Seoul is by going crazy exploring the Gangnam District (of Gangnam Style fame), then head to the world's exclusive university for women the Ewha Woman's University.

In the afternoon go on a wild shopping spree at Coex Mall which is Asia's largest underground shopping mall. Try out your latest clothes and accessories in the evening of Day 4 by visiting Hongdae Area.

A number of pubs, nightclubs, and discos give a great example of the fusion of international and local Korean culture and provide entertainment for the night.
