Amongst lush wilderness

Yangmingshan National Park:

Famous for being one of the nine national parks in Taiwan, Yangmingshan National Park is home to a number of plant and animal species. This often draws people, both locals and tourists, to explore its wilderness. Taiwan’s tallest dormant volcano is also located here, and there are hiking trails leading up to it.

Taipei Zoo:

Also known as "Muzha Zoo", Taipei Zoo was opened in the year 1914. Exotic species of animals from Australia, Africa, and Asia, along with more than 130 species of birds have made this facility their home.

Into the corridors and galleries

National Palace Museum:

700,000 artefacts and 8,000 years of art history in China make this museum one of the most visited ones in the country. The collections include sections that were part of the royal collection, and other ancient items too. The artworks from the Ming and Qing dynasties are a major hit here.

Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall:

Built in the memory of Chiang Kai-shek, former President of the Republic of China, this monument ranks high on the list of the top places to see in Taipei. Surrounded by a number of other sites and located near Liberty Square makes it very popular amongst the locals too.

Lungshan Temple of Manka:

Built during the Qing rule, in the year 1738, the Lungshan Temple of Manka has been hosting religious sessions for too long now. One look at its structure and its age and elegance tell its unique story. Come here and attend a session to understand fully well, the charm of this spiritual site.

Huashan 1914 Creative Park:

One of the most famous cultural parks of the city, Huashan 1914 Creative Park has an unusual history. It was formerly a winery in the 1900s and was converted into a park in 2005. It has an art boulevard, a community center, and much more, which makes it a favorite especially amongst the locals. If you want a real feel of the vibe of the city, this is the place to be!
