Morning walk along the City Walls

Start off your 24 hours in York with a leisurely stroll along the York City Walls. The fortification originally dates back to Roman times but what we see today is a result of the restoration carried in between 12th and 14th century. Walking along the ramparts, you will be treated to pleasant views of the city. As you walk the City Walls, you must stop at the York Minster which is the most famous attraction in York. It is also known as The Cathedral and Metropolitical Church of Saint Peter in York and displays gothic style of architecture. Located near the York Minster, you may then make a quick stop at St Wilfrid’s Church. This is a Roman Catholic church, established in 1864, and is built in the gothic revival style of architecture.

Spend afternoon walking the galleries of museums
