Zhuhai is a modern city of China and is a getaway to Macau. Nestled on the southwest corner of the Pearl River Delta in Guangdong, Zhuhai is an important city from cultural, social, economic, and travelling perspectives. The city is home to some of the best golf resorts in China, and also has many theme parks, and shopping malls. In addition to this, the islands on the delta make it more of a favorite tourist destination. How to spend 2 days in Zhuhai?

Day 1: Tour of the Monuments, Streets and Nightlife

Zhuhai is a small port city, but every corner of the city is well-connected through a good chain of transportation system. Therefore, getting around the city is not a problem. You can start the first day of your trip by visiting the A-MA Temple, the oldest temple in Macau dedicated to the sea-goddess Mazu. The temple was built in 1488.
After spending some time in the temple, you can head to the Maritime Museum. This is a great place to understand the history and tradition of the fishing industry of South China. It would be good if you are here on Sunday as the ticket prices are cheaper. On the other side of A-Ma Temple, there is Macau Museum of Souvenir.

Next, you can head to Largo do Lilau, which is a quiet square with Colonial style Portuguese houses and some beautifully built Mandarin houses. If you want to experience the life of this Chinese city, it would be good to take a walk on the streets of Largo de Lilau. Close to this square is the Mandarin House which was the residence of the Qing theoretician and reformist Zheng Guanying. You can also visit St Lawrence's Church or St Joseph’s Church and then, you can enjoy seafood at Mercado Municipal De S. Lourenco.
The city of Zhuhai glitters beautifully as the night approaches. You can head to the port area and enjoy the spectacular views of the sea from here. You can also take a night cruise on the sea. If you want something relaxing, listen to the Cantonese Opera. Apart from this, the city also has some good nightclubs and bars that are located on Qinglu Road and Shuiwan Road.

Day 2: Historical and Natural Landmarks

You can begin the second of your 2 days in Zhuhai trip by visiting the fort of Fortaleza do Monte. This fort serves as the historical military center of Macau. This 17th century fort has a rooftop park from where you can enjoy the views of the skyline. Just beside the fort, there is Na Tcha Temple which is an important religious place for Chinese folk culture.
In the afternoon, you can start out for Sun Yat Sen Park. Later, move forward to the main city of Zhuhai and visit the places like Zhuhai Museum, Jingshan Park, White Lotus Cave Park, and Banzhangshan Forest Park. You would also like to explore the surrounding of Longquan Lake that includes New Yuanming Palace and and Dreams Water City. Visiting Royal Zoo can also be great fun. In addition to all this, you can check the latest motor race events in Zhuhai and catch some live action at Zhuhai International Circuit.
