Art need not be just confined to museums and galleries only. You can encounter the best of art sometimes in the most unexpected of the places. Augusto Giacometti Entrance Hall paves way for the most beautiful police station, which is decorated with murals and wall paintings. This art is attributed to Gustav Gull, who had remoulded Zurich at around 1900 and converted the orphanage at the Bahnhofquai into a municipal building housing the city police station. The entrance to this police station became a canvass for beautiful artistic designs with the purpose of lighting up the area. The result, however, came out to be so stupendous that it became an attraction of the city rather than just being an entry to police station. Due to its beauty and art, it is affectionately called as “The Hall of Tiny Flowers”, a term that summarises its floral motif.
