It is a city park in the North West part of the town. The dominant feature of the place is the hogback ridge. A number of trails intertwine throughout the park. It is a popular place for both hiking and biking, studded with many sandstone cliffs. There are both flat and wooded areas. There’s loads of neat rock formations, rolling hills, steep and scrambling climbs. Though the trees criss-cross in some areas, there is not much shade in the park. The mountains here are mostly bike friendly. It is also a great place for wildlife and bird watching.

Ute Valley Park Reviews & Ratings
What a gem in the center of the city!!! This park is very large with many distinguished paths to hike or bike on. The entrance to the park is well marked and has several places to park. There is an outhouse at the entrance too. My only concern is during the summer time, snakes are very active so please be aware.
Nice park close to garden of the gods! There's lots of hiking trails so even if the parking lot is packed, it doesn't feel like there's tons and tons of people. Good biking trails. If it rains there can be huge puddles though. Fun place to go!
Beautiful park. Hiked and had a great time with my sister. If your a biker I suggest this place because theres some really need dirt trails with little bumps that are cool. It's right off the road and has a pretty pond with a million birds singing. The flowers are stunning as well.
Great place to hike. Wish there was more parking.
The timberline trail was not at all what I expected. It was much better 😎👍 Don't check the pictures if you don't want spoliers 😁
