A very important venue for events, festivals and concerts, the Dom Pedro V Theatre is one of those few places which are as important to the History of Macau as its present. Built in 1860 by the Portuguese and named after Peter V, the ruler of Portugal, the theatre has become a UNESCO heritage site.
It is important to the cultural heart of the city even today and is a prestigious venue in Macau. A very subdued looking building; it is certainly a very pleasing sight to the eyes. The blue and the while of the building, contrast beautifully with the dark wood of the doors. But it isn’t just the exterior that is pretty. The grand circular hall is also extremely beautifully decorated. If you are an art lover or a fan of the performing arts, this place is a perfect attraction for you.
