This is frankly not the greatest of Paphos’ attractions, but the falls will hold a dear spot in your heart if you’re tracking down the sites of great mythological significance. The Greek  gods Adonis and Aphrodite are supposed to have made this place their home, and the children they had here are supposed to have become the people of Paphos. It’s a hidden treasure at the end of a rocky road, but worth the trip. Rocks surround this beautiful, natural pool of water.

There’s even a rope swing you can use to dive in… or just jump off the rocks, really. A word of warning not that this place is unsafe or anything, but don’t bring your kids here. Most of the 18-30’s crowd descend here with amorous intentions of discreetly carrying on the frolics of the gods who gave this place its name.

  • Don’t bother trying to take a car here. Use a quad bike.

  • As other people have mentioned, the road there is really rough and rocky. Although it claims to be suitable for all vehicles I would only attempt it in a 4x4. It would ruin your suspension in a regular car. Once you reach the site there is ample parking at one level and a few spaces nearer the entrance if you drive further down the hill. I thought the entrance fee was a bit high at €9.00. There's a cute little museum as you walk in and surprisingly clean toilets with a changing room for swimmers. There's a bar by the museum and tables and chairs on that level for anyone unable to climb the uneven steps to the pools which are pretty inaccessible for anyone with mobility issues. If you climb to the top pool and follow the signs to the gorge there's a nice nature walk. I didn't swim in the pools but others were enjoying the water and it didn't look cold. There are also sun loungers around the pools. Some of the surroundings were a bit shabby with broken boards on the decked areas and broken lights and peeling railings. It could be better maintained when you're paying €9.00.

  • Difficult road, you need a 4x4 car and the landscape is reasonable beautiful, probably it's not unique in Cyprus. Not sure if it's worth it, given the admission fee 9 Euro per person.

  • In my honest opinion it is great . The water was freezing . I though the waterfall is going to be a bit bigger but it was still beautiful. Unfortunately you can see that it’s not been looked after properly as there are broken benches and chairs . The stairs are steep so you have to be careful especially kids and elderly people There are toilets/ changing rooms and cafe upstairs The entry I think it was €8.50 There are figures worth taking a picture with , 2 of them are in parking lot and 2 up the stairs to the right . The journey the isn’t as bad as people say but it is confusing and could be pretty dangerous if another car is comming but if you are scared then I highly recommend George’s Fun Bus . €55 adult - 8:45-18:00 , kids are €35 , kids under 5 years free

  • Get ready! The water is ice cold and delicious! What a special place this is! Great place to escape the Cyprus heat and bustle! Make sure to read about the history and family that took care of this place!

  • If quiet this place is great for relaxing. Went later in afternoon where only a dozen people were there. Slightly risky driving if coming from the North. Advise approaching from the South, via Paphos. Water is chilly too but fine once in.
