This is frankly not the greatest of Paphos’ attractions, but the falls will hold a dear spot in your heart if you’re tracking down the sites of great mythological significance. The Greek  gods Adonis and Aphrodite are supposed to have made this place their home, and the children they had here are supposed to have become the people of Paphos. It’s a hidden treasure at the end of a rocky road, but worth the trip. Rocks surround this beautiful, natural pool of water.

There’s even a rope swing you can use to dive in… or just jump off the rocks, really. A word of warning not that this place is unsafe or anything, but don’t bring your kids here. Most of the 18-30’s crowd descend here with amorous intentions of discreetly carrying on the frolics of the gods who gave this place its name.

• Don’t bother trying to take a car here. Use a quad bike.
