The lovely Mediterranean weather calls for some lovely fine wine and Santorini does not disappoint. The Wine Museum at Koutsoyannopoulos is proof of this relationship between wine and Greece.
Interestingly, the museum is located inside a natural cave giving it a very unique and intriguing appeal. From the history of Greek Wine to the elaborate processes with which it is made is exhibited beautifully in the museum.
You will be able to buy souvenirs as well as wine in the museum making it a very appealing tourist attraction. There is a wine tasting tour as well. If you want to know more about the ancient wine making culture of the area, this is certainly a must visit.

Really interesting museum with fab audio-tour therefore making your way around the museum independently at your own pace. Everything presented was beautiful. We just didn't enjoy the wines very much compared to the other wineries on our 3 winery tour. But still worth a visit for the history side of Santorini wine making.
Very interesting museum walking you through the history of wine making on the island and the wine making process, as well as the history of the family and the winery. Quality wines to taste (included in the very reasonable entrance fee to the museum) and if you want to buy at the end of the tour.
A fun and educational visit to learn about Santorini wines and what makes them unique. Ends with option for wine tasting where you can try the island's sweet Visanto wine. Good for a couple hours to visit.
I'm not a fan of wine, but this is a unique experience as far as wine museums go, and the people were knowledgeable and professional. The history and geology that are particular to Santorini are the backdrop for a tour through wine-making technology as it was in Santorini. We did the 4 wine tasting option at the end, and I was reminded of a fellow wine-idiot's warning not to drink wine from (recently) volcanic islands.
If you are in Santorini, this is a great destination for wine enthusiasts. For 10 euros, wine tasting is even included and you cannot miss this. You will find some of the best dessert wines only from this place. The main area has great selection of souvenirs and handmade olive wood goblins and many other utensils. The museum was great too.
