Shri Jagannath Temple - Review
Jagannath Temple in Puri is a well-known, sacred Hindu Temple devoted to Jagannath. The construction of this temple began under the reign of King of Kalinga. Legend says that Jagannath was actually worshiped by a Savar king, Nella Madhaba. The entire temple complex covers around 400,000 square feet area.
Inside the complex, there are four distinct structures:
- Garba Griha or Vimana or Deula
- Nata Mandir or Natamandir
Apart from the main temple, there are many other minor temples located inside the premise. They are:
- Vimala Temple – Where the feet of Goddess Sati fell.
- Mahalakshmi Temple - Where naivedya that is offered to Lord Jagannath is prepared.
- Kanchi Ganesh Temple – This temple is dedicated to Lord Ganesha.
Visit this temple premise during RathYatra, when the whole temple is decked up and the three deity of the temple: Lord Jagannath, Lord Balaram and Goddess Subhadra are brought out and taken on a chariot ride. And the site is worth watching.
Other than the festival, the everyday bhog (god’s food) is said to be another reason for which thousands of visitors visit the temple.

Shri Jagannath Temple, Puri Reviews
Jai Jagannath. It's one of the most visited temple of Hindus. The architecture of the temple will attract you more and more and you will just look around. But the problem is only Hindus are allowed to enter into the temple. A person from other religion can't access it. If you belong to another religion other than Hindu you observe it from outside only. From outside it's also that much beautiful. Perfect time to visit is car festival.
This is a serene place with few specialities of its own like every popular temple holds. The priests although can not make you feel very good. Everyone needs to earn and so are they, be careful. Go to pray god, not priests.
What one can say in review if the place belongs to, who nurtures the world according to the Hindu mythology. So come here to feel the calmness of your mind. And enjoy the meal which literally prepared for the gods.
Really nice place for worship there. Amazing temples and many Gods and Goddesses there. There are historical statues there, are very interesting. And lot of rush there. I also go to visit and worship there with my friends.
