Spa World - Review
Situated in the Shinsekai area of Osaka, Spa World is a huge bath complex divided into European themed floor and Asian themed floor. It has a large number of pools with natural hot spring water pumped up into them from far below the earth's surface. Visitors have to complete a few entrance procedures and then they get to be naked and enjoy the natural hot spring water healing their bodies. Separate rooms for men and women. Definitely an experience to be had while in Osaka!

Spa World, Osaka Reviews
My husband and I enjoyed sitting together in the jacuzzis (there were three) at the top floor. Rental swimsuits are one-piece types. We also watched an idol group perform live and it was fun watching their fans in the pool dancing and singing along. The onsens and saunas also offered various activities. We wanted to try the slide but we had to pay extra. The lounges equipped with recliners and mats are spacious, though.
OK with tattoo if you can cover them! You know that japanese culture still does not accept tattoos, me and my boyfriend covered them before we enter the place, you could still see the black shapes behind the plasters but we had no problems. I have 3 tattoos and he has one medium size. If you plan to go think about getting also reflexology or massage to complete the experience! Its very easy to go around and everything you buy is charged to a bracelet, they pay attention to every detail.
This place is pretty unique. There are two different spa floors (Asia and Europe themes) each floor is gender specific and they change floor assignments every few days. There is also a common floor you can meet at in robes to have a drink or eat. I was on the Asian themed floor. There were many hot tubs and also see saunas witht a cold tub. There is even an outdoor area with spas and a place to get drinks.
Really superb and cheap onsen place for you to unwind for the entire day. You just have to pay an entrance fee; towels, face towels, clothes, soap, shampoo, hair dryer, conditioner and even lotion is included. They'll provide you with a electronic tag that can be used as temporary payment track. This tag will be used for meals on their restaurant floor (3rd level), massage parlour and even massage chairs. There's separate levels for men and women so you don't have to worry too much about getting creeped on. It's a public bath so if you're not comfortable with getting nude even around others of the same gender, this is not the place for you. Interior design is spacious and classy. There are several types of hot tubs with different temperatures and "benefits" and a sauna room as well. Theres also a lounge area thats perfect for a quick nap after a long comfortable soak. I would have given this place a five star if not for the very flippant attitudes of their staffs on the ground. ( I specify the ground floor because the lady attending the counter at the 6th floor was fine ) Was just looking for the locker areas since there wasn't any sign visible and the staff just gave me a bad face and pointed me away in the direction. Surprisingly cold service in such a hot environment.
Great first bathouse experience in Japan. Such unique themes and interesting way to relax in Osaka. Easily the highlight of our trip in the city.
