There were dark times in Germany which cost the lives of many an innocent. What now stands as the Buchenwald Memorial was originally the Buchenwald concentration camp during the reign of the Nazis. Built in 1937, a few kilometres from Weimar, this site is now a museum and holds a permanent exhibition.

The Buchenwald Memorial showcases a rather grim history of Germany. It was one of the first and largest concentration camps to be built. Today at the memorial one will find –
