Estadio Do Maracana - Review
Officially known as the Estadio Jornalista Mario Filho, this open air football stadium is perhaps one of the most well known destinations in the world. An iconic site for football and football lovers, the stadium has been home to many important national and international games including world cup finals.
The stadium is shared by four clubs in the city and has also served as a performance venue for international artists such as Paul McCartney, Tina Turner, Sting, Madonna and the Canadian progressive rock power trio Rush. But first and foremost it is a place where you can see the madness that is the football fandom in Brazil so The Maracana Stadium has to be on the itinerary if you are a football fan.

Estadio Do Maracana, Rio De Janeiro Reviews
The stadium was opened in 1950 to host the FIFA World Cup, in which Brazil was beaten 2–1 by Uruguay in the deciding game, in front of no less than 199,854 spectators on 16 July 1950. The venue has seen attendances of 150.000 or more at 26 occasions, the last being on 29 May 1983, as 155,253 spectators watched Flamengo beat Santos 3-0. At no less than 284 times have crowds of 100,000 or more watched football here. But as terraced sections have been replaced with seats over time, and after the more or less total renovation for the FIFA World Cup 2014, its original capacity has been reduced to the current 78,838.
Great experience...to be where the biggest best players in the world have been...I wish the tour was geared towards English speaking only separated from others it took the fun out...waiting for translation. Exciting tour!
Its my favourite team stadium, Also my favorite player, Neymar plays here, so I thought to leave a review. Thanks yo Neymar, Cavani Mbappe, Thiago Silva, Draxler, Areola and All PSG Players. This is the best team of all time and I love this team's stadium
Huge stadium, excellent if you like football (soccer, futebol, fútbol) and you want to know the Brazilian team history.
Vale a pena conhecer. O estádio foi modernizado para os grandes eventos. Emocionante assistir aos jogos lá.
